Hogswatch Time, time to drink some wine, have some cheesecake and then some more wine.

It's December, that means that it's nearly time for the retail stores to get Easter eggs out, it also means that it's the time of year when they play Christmas music or in the case of stupid stores, "Winter Holiday Music".

I find it dissapointing that very most of the great Christmas tunes come from the about 20 years or so ago. There's nothing that I'm aware of being produced these days but I really would like to be proven wrong

This time of the year is supposed to be a joyous occasion, designed to bring loved ones and families together to celebrate the birth of a child just over 2,000 years ago. The fact that he wasn't born in December has nothing to do with it whatsoever.

At this time of the year, the music world needs another Slade or Wizard or even Cliff Richard, nobody is taking up the challenge. 

And so we begin with my countdown to Christmas, Hogfather's Day or whatever your belief is.
